Born into pandemic times and completed as the world opened. Long-time collaborators Abe Speller and John King began working on this project during lock down, developing material from John's Avenue B studio in New York and Abe's studio The Hut in New Jersey. They invited guest musicians to join in the process, and eventually were able to record in-person at Gary Solomon's Gate Hill Studios. These tunes are the collective result of all those experiments and explorations.

JOHN KING,- Composer and guitarist, has presented his unique style of composed and improvised music in many major festivals worldwide. John King has composed for orchestra, chamber ensembles, rock bands, dance, film and theater. He has had many working bands over the last 5 years including ELECTRIC WORLD (with Abe Speller, Jean Chaine and David Moss), VIBROVERB (with Nioka Workman and Michael Wimberly), and KING KORTETTE (Jonathan Kane, Nicki Parrott and Christopher McIntyre), all blues/funk/jazz based; and also performed with : William Parker's "Little Huey Creative Orchestra" and Butch Morris' "Conduction" Orchestra. His commissions and collaborations include those for the Kronos Quartet, Bang On A Can All-Stars and the string quartet ETHEL.

ABE SPELLER – Drums & Percussion, Abe has been performing and recording with some of the top artist around the globe. Abe has worked on two films by film maker ABEL FERRARA'S KING OF NEW YORK and the 2019 film TOMMASO. Also collaborating with John in his sonic band Electric World (Hot Thumb In A Funky Groove and Love Is Life) along with the most recent collaboration Born Into Flames featuring King on guitar and Jair-Rohm Wells on bass. He spent many years with free-jazz guitarist SONNY SHARROCK (Seize The Rainbow, Live In New York & Highlife) TED DANIEL Big Band. ARTHUR BLYTHE (synergy) Although there are no recordings Abe was the driving force behind keyboardist LONNIE LISTON SMITH for many years. Steely Dan guitarist JON HERINGTON's first solo project (Like So) Joe Jackson guitarist TEDDY KUMPEL (The Man) John McCracken (Blood From A Tone) The inventor of the Chapman Stick EMMETT CHAPMAN, Danish singer KIM LARSEN (Jungle Dreams & Time Bomb) Bassist ALEX BLAKE (Especially For You) Bassist JAMAALADEEN TACUMA. Singers PAT BENETAR, PHOEBE SNOW and STEVE FORBERT.
